Remove strawberry stains
Strawberry time, strawberry time! Oh, how happy we are when there are strawberries again full and all can bite with relish into the sweet fruit. Delicious, sweet and fruity – the strawberry juice drips down your hand onto the tablecloth or your good trousers and there it is – a strawberry stain, beautifully red and not easy to get rid of again. But what home remedies are suitable for remedy? In general, quick action is called for, as fresh stains are far easier to remove than those that have once dried and soaked into the fibers. What home remedies help against the stains from the delicious strawberries?
Strawberry stains are not quite as stubborn as mach other stains. Immediately after the little mishap has happened, the stain can be rinsed out with lukewarm water – but only if it really was a fresh strawberry, not a sugared one and also not strawberry jam or the like.
Soapy water: This helps with slightly more difficult strawberry stains, for example, juice or with sugar. Here, your garment should be soaked overnight in a soapy water solution. Then you can rinse it out and put it directly into the laundry. Dried strawberry stains can also be reconditioned in this way.
Lemon or vinegar: As with many stains, strawberry stains can also be treated with vinegar or lemon juice, but this should preferably be done on light-colored clothing, as these also have a bleaching effect. The whole should be absorbed for about an hour.
Remove strawberry stains - very simple
Warm water with baking soda is the strongest stain remover and should therefore only be used on relatively insensitive fabrics, e.g. a light-colored tablecloth for the garden table. Again, let the fabric steep in the liquid for a few hours or overnight.
After this preparation, the good piece is either to be washed by hand, for precise control, or to be taken to the washing machine. The pre-treatment of the stains is mandatory so that they do not dry up and are also finally dissolved in the wash cycle.
Last but not least, the last residue of color can be completely faded by placing it in the sun. However, a place in the shade should be chosen here, otherwise the color will also suffer (white clothes can also be put in the sun).
And what if the fabric is not washable? In an emergency, you can put some alcohol on the stain that is as neutral in color as possible and as high in percentage as possible, and then wipe it off with a cloth with fresh water.
If you’re on the go, warm water is probably your first choice, with hand soap from the local bathroom if necessary to reduce the stain.
So hopefully you will master the lovely red stains of strawberries and restore the beauty of their clothes and you all can continue to enjoy the strawberry season undisturbed and continue to feast.
